Thing/Action is the "Moonwalk" (obvious connections)
Person is "Michael Jackson" Liz Taylor is his best friend and he married Elvis Presley's daughter - Lisa Marie
Animal is "Cat". Halle Berry played Catwoman, Tennessee Williams wrote Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which was played by Elizabeth Taylor
Place is "Memphis", where MLK was shot, Elvis made his first records and the location of Graceland, also capital of Tennessee is Memphis. Tennessee Williams took his first name from the state. The connection to Cat is lateral(and bit tenuous). Memphis gets its name from the Egyptian city known for its pyramids and other Egyptian structures.

Name: MJ between Liz Taylor and Elvis. Liz Taylor - his bff. Elvis - king of R&R vs. MJ - king of pop.
Place: Tennessee. Tennessee Williams named himself after the state, Elvis - Nashville, MLK - assassinated in Memphis.
Animal: Cat, T. Williams wrote cat on a hot tin roof, Liz acted in it, Halle Berry played the cat woman.
Thing: Moon-walking :) Buzz Aldrin and MJ's specialty.
I couldn't connect cat to Tennessee. Best guess is catfish being the state fish of TN. If I am completely wrong, then surely brownie points are in order for the plausible connect.
