Today's question is courtesy Krish. Identify the blanked out portion of the first visual. For bonus points, connect the answer to the second visual.
Answer: Bibendum is the Michelin man. In the French version of Asterix in Switzerland, the man holding the chariot wheel is the logo of the oil company Antar. It was replaced by the Michelin man in the English translation. Obelix says in the next panel, "Call me fat! Did you see HIS spare tyre?". Priceless!!! Karthik, White Jack and Black Lagoon, Anirudh Patil, Semisimplicity, Kamal Rathi, Lt Col Shankar, Jamie, anon, Krithi, Pranav, Hirak, AJ, Manix, Adi, Mainak and Ramki got it. Well done.

Michelin. The panel on the right was redrawn to replace the mascot of the French oil company Antar by the Michelin man for the English readers.

Michelin
The second visual is the original drawn by Goscinny, but the man holding the tyre was later changed to Michelin man.
michelin?
Bibendum (the Michelin man) makes a brief guest appearance as the chariot wheel dealer in certain translations, including the original English translation. The original French version used the Gaulish warrior-like mascot of the French service station company Antar. The 2004 English re-print from Orion Books uses the French illustrations, making the later localized jokes referring to Bibendum's weight nonsensical
The missing word is Michelin and the poster is the Original 1898 poster featuring Bibendum or the Michelin Man. The second panel is from Asterix in Switzerland , French Edition and the mascot with the tyre is Astor the mascot for the French Petrol Company. As English readers will not understand the joke, it was replaced with Michelin Man. Unfortunately later editions of the same comic was with the original Astor mascot but the puns were intended for the Michelin Man.
