I was going to write Julia Butterfly Hill yesterday, but when I compared the Wiki photos, they did not even come close! But, I guess, she is the one. She does look nice, out of the tree.
Alright, lets try that again. It's tree sitter Julia Butterfly Hill, on top of Luna, in an attempt to save the grove from being cleared by the Pacific Lumber Company. She lived in that tree for over 700 days. The film "Luna", directed by Deepa Mehta is scheduled to be released in 2010.
