Question - 348 (Theme)

The theme for this week is - Yours to discover! Answers to all questions this week (Q-343 to Q-347) are connected to a theme which will become easier to guess as the week goes along (opposite of last week!) The theme itself being the question for Saturday.

Please post answers or guesses to the week's theme here and not under the comments for the regular question of the day. Please provide explanations for your connects to the theme.

Clues so far:
Q-343: Abraham Lincoln
Q-344: William Wallace
Q-345: Aldous Huxley
Q-346: Westminster Abbey
Q-347: The Galapagos

Answer: Charles Darwin.
Darwin was born on the same day, same year as Abe Lincoln.
Competing work published by Russel Wallace (claimed to be a descent of the famous Scot)
Aldous Huxley's grandfather Thomas Huxley was called Darwin's bulldog, Westminster Abbey is the burial place of Darwin. And the Galapagos need no explanation.

Cracked by (chronologically): Raghu, Mekie and Dinky (great). Others had good connects.

In the spirit of totally random Quizclub guesses, my guess for the theme after one question is The Simpsons. Lincoln is from Springfield Illionis and Simpsons is set in the fictional Springfield.

Everything seems to point towards England. I was wondering what Abe Lincoln's connection would be, and apparently his ancestor Samuel Lincoln moved from England to the then USA. Hope I nailed this one?

Abraham Lincoln statue near Parliament Square (London) also known as "Palace of Westminster"

William Wallace was tried at the “Westminster Hall”

1. Adam Huxley -> Brave New World -> Tempest -> Quote from Tempest and Shakespeare statue at Westminster Abbey

2. Adam Huxley -> Grandfather = Thomas Henry Huxley -> Strong supporter of Charles Darwin’s views -> Charles Darwin -> buried in “Westminster Abbey”

Galapagos Islands -> visited by Charles Darwin -> buried in “Westminster Abbey”
