The map suggests an exploration of the Missouri river. A waterway between the West and the East?
Ah, I knew that being from Montana would come in handy sooner or later! That's the Lewis & Clark trail, one of my home state's prime attractions. Jefferson had just purchased the Louisiana Territory from Napoleon on the cheap, so those two guys were sent out to survey it.
